Job Description

Work as a waterski instructor on BUNAC’s Summer Camp USA programme – the leading US work and travel experience! Spend nine weeks working with kids aged between 6 and 16 on an American summer camp.

Waterski instructors work outside, often on a lake, teaching children waterskiing and encouraging their understanding and proficiency in the sport throughout the summer. Working with small groups of children, you may teach beginners skiing on a boom at the start of the camp session and help them to slalom or wakeboard by the end! Waterski equipment at camps can range from one of small motor boat and basic waterskis to an assortment of motor boats and equipment to suit a variety of ages and skill levels.

After camp, take advantage of the additional 30 days to travel around the USA, Canada and Mexico. Visit beautiful natural landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Niagara Falls, and experience world-class cities including New York, Chicago and San Francisco, to name only a few.

Experience Required

BUNAC individually places applicants on summer camps according to their preferences, skills and experience. For the role of waterski instructor, applicants should be energetic and highly enthusiastic about waterskiing with experience of working with children in a leadership position. Applicants must also be aged 18 or above.
