Origin is aware that by providing PAs with the most appropriate training, day to day support from people who have been PAs, friendly and understanding support from the placement team in the office and a network of existing PA contacts, even people who have no experience in this type of work can competently do the job with confidence...and gain real job satisfaction from empowering independent living and lifestyle choices for someone with a spinal injury.

THE TEAM


When you become a live-in PA with Origin, Lorraine and Jaye will be your main points of contact. Together they take a pride in matching PAs with clients, as in most cases we try to place PA’s with clients who share the same interests such as painting, gardening, sport and shopping.

Tanya, Origin’s Finance Co-ordinator helps PAs with any queries they have regarding National Insurance, opening a new bank account, tax rebates and anything wage related.
Other members of the Origin team are on hand to help PAs with application queries, references, CRB checks and to ensure the smooth and efficient running of client/PA placements.

CLIENTS


‘Origin, PAs are the best around because they are specifically trained in spinal injury care. They come from all round the world and it is great to hear about their travels, lives back home and plans for their future. The PA/client relationship is very close and you do get to know each other very well and I have kept in touch with many of my old PAs.’ Chris.

Because each client is different, each has different needs but generally speaking PAs will typically have to be confident drivers, to take clients to and from work, social engagement, shopping etc. Other duties will include personal care, cooking, cleaning, shopping, all done on a two week on and one week off rota that gives you 7 full days off to relax, travel, meet up with friends etc.

THE PACKAGE


• You will receive an excellent salary of £504 whilst you work.

• You will receive holiday and sick pay.

• Travel expenses will be covered so you’ll be travelling the UK to see clients and won’t be spending any money.

• Flexible contracts - working 2 weeks and 1 weeks off – allowing you to travel and explore the UK

• Your accommodation and food is free therefore you can save your money to travel when you are not working.

• No experience is needed, as specialist training will be given.

• You will be able to meet and build relationships with all sorts of people.

• You will experience a life as an English person – living in an English home, building close working relationship with UK/overseas colleagues.

• You will have your own room and own privacy with good facilities.

• Gain valuable skills to take away with you.

• Long term contracts and permanents jobs available.

• You can work during the summer and return to the UK the following summer and a job will be here for you.

YOU


• You will be a fit, active, positive person willing to work under client’s instruction.

• You will speak fluent English as communicating clearly with your client is important in building a good working relationship.

• You will be ages 21 or over and have a full driving licence.
