Info

New Zealand is probably one of the most beautiful and spectacular places in the world. It is a must for anyone who loves adventure, culture and breath-taking scenery- you won't be able to put your camera down.

Think 'Lord of the Rings' - Incredible mountains, remarkable volcanoes, impressive coastlines and thriving rainforests. Known as the playground for adventure thrill seekers, it is also a place soaked with culture, great wine, history and heritage. Get involved with the native Maouri culture by trying 'Hangi (traditional food cooked underground) and learn the Hakka. Similar in size to the UK or Japan, the North and South Islands have a combined population of just over 4 million people (and ten times as many sheep).

The Smaller Earth Work and Travel New Zealand program allows you the opportunity to spend anywhere from 1 to 23 months (depending on your eligibility) living, working and travelling in New Zealand. Smaller Earth aim to provide you with top notch support whilst you are applying for your visa, and advice on what gear you should pack ready to head out. We make sure that your journey from the airport to the hostel is hassel-free, organise 2 nights accommodation for you and provide a great support network for 12 months. This support includes access to our partner's 'Member's Forum' which has current job lists, full advice on all aspects of your trip, a CV model to ensure you have the best application for the jobs you want, not to mention fantastic customer service.

The Smaller Earth Work and Travel New Zealand program has been designed to provide you with as much or as little support as you need while on your working holiday in New Zealand. We have included some arrival essentials like transport from your arrival airport, your first 2 nights accommodation and a Welcome Presentation to help you settle in. Our partners provide advice and support about setting up your bank account and applying for your IRD number (tax code) as well as tips for finding employment and advice on your CV/resume.

A range of office facilities is also available for your use to help you find a job or make travel plans. Our partner's staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and multilingual, encouraging you to seek all the help and advice you need. You can arrive in New Zealand 365 days a year. However, there can sometimes be limited availability between 20th Dec and 10th Jan.
